Saturday, May 21st Trancenet featuring Alexsed, Bruce Cullen Bar 415, 415 S 13th St. $5, 8 p.m., bar415.com, 402.346.7455 So apparently, Alexsed is a Big Deal, a Ukrainian DJ who’s been spinning records in Eastern Europe since the days of Kraftwerk. He plays a style of trance music that’s reverent toward early examples of the genre. Eventually, he moved his operation to the Midwest, founding Trancenet to promote the mixing of trance and progressive. I don’t know what a lot of these words mean. His back up for the evening is Bruce Cullen, who once had a bit role in the film Outbreak. With their powers combined, they’ll do … something or other that people who understand techno will probably like. My cat’s breath smells like cat food.
