The 2013 schedule at UNO Art Gallery is filled with student work.  Opening Feb. 22 is a UNO Art Majors’ Juried Student Exhibition, and opening Apr. 7 is the UNO BFA Thesis show. However, in the immediate future UNO Art Gallery is offering up some work by the esteemed Art Faculty at UNO in the 2013 UNO Art Faculty Exhibition. Those exhibiting include Jess Benjamin, Jody Boyer, Larry Bradshaw, Gary Day, Carol Debuse, Wanda Ewing, Amy Haney, David Helm, Avery Mazor, Russ Nordman, Bonnie O’Connell, Joe Pankowski, Matt D. Peterson, Tana Quincy, Caroline Schmitz, Barbara Simcoe, Bart Vargas, and Christina Renfer Vogel. One of the featured artists, Christina Renfer Vogel, has an upcoming solo exhibition this year at the Fred Simon Gallery. Additionally, Vogel has earned a residency at the Kimmel Harding Neslon Center for the Arts in Nebraska City. Vogel is just one of many featured in the UNO Art Faculty Exhibition, so be sure to make it out while the show is hanging to experience the wide range of work on display.
