Look Who’s Calling the Shots
by Michael Braunstein

Anyone paying attention learned an important lesson in 2020. Sure, dozens of questions lie still unanswered; mostly about our obsession: the Virus. Like, where did it really come from? Is it man-made? Are the statistics reliable or not? Do masks work or don’t they? If you had it, are you immune? And those are just the questions posed before one goes down the rabbit hole.

But one thing 2020 has confirmed is who is calling the shots. The cabal built around the techno-pharmaceutical medical system runs the show. We have unelected bureaucrats, doctors who are not physicians, billionaires who are not doctors and media hoopla dictating and influencing public policy. All under threat of imprisonment or fines. Political or not, the powerbase of society is energized by civilization’s blind ambition to cheat death and the medical-industrial complex pretends to hold the key.

Nature’s way. For hundreds of thousands of years, humans relied on a symbiotic relationship with nature. Humanity left little impact on the biosphere and nature returned that favor by providing us with means to survive in it. The basics of food, water, shelter were sufficient. Though simple challenges like infection from a scratch or animal bite posed mortal jeopardy, usually the wisdom of nature’s medicine helped us heal. A poultice, a practice, an herb, a tincture or likely just our own immune system could return us to health.

Then, in just the past couple centuries, society took a turn down a dark road. Creating chemical and technological means to control nature and the human body took center stage. The application of anesthesia and antibiotics were notable attempts at controlling nature. Concocting chemicals affecting basic functions of the body followed suit, leading to over 20,000 pharmaceuticals.(1) Imagine a drug so powerful that it blocks important communication between the brain and the heart (beta-blockers) or stops the production of digestive juices dead in their tracks (famotidine) or prevents the liver from producing a basic building block of cells (statins). And now, the mad scientists are altering natural genetics and deploying invasive assaults at the level of nanoparticles. They provide the medical corp with weapons to attack nature on the molecular level.

Of greatest concern to anyone who believes humans should be aligning with nature rather than trying to conquer her, is the hue and cry to bludgeon nature into submission with each step along the profit-taking path of modern medicine. As 21st century “science” wields hubristic offerings intent on dominating nature, we are left to question if we should do something just because we can do it.

“Who’s calling the shots,” is not a question. It’s a statement. Anyone with an IQ in double-digits knows who has been driving the bus in 2020. A strange group nominally identified as “doctors” (and even some billionaires who never got close to a sheepskin,) pontificate from their media moments and deliver dictates ex cathedra from their non-elected positions as authorities on health. Some of these people have never served a patient in their entire careers. In fact, the face of medical authority in America, if not the Western world and beyond, one Anthony Fauci, went directly from medical school to a government lab job. For fifty years the current most influential person in America has been a desk jockey, not a physician. (2), (3)

It’s easy to say that human nature is to hold someone or something outside of us accountable for how we feel or our state of mind. We think, “If only that person or that thing would change and be different, everything would be okay.” Humans alternately tremble or rile at the notion of accepting responsibility for our own fate, our own health, our own station. The workings of the world reinforce that idea when someone else hits your car or steals your cat or plays a wrong note. But on the deepest level, even we know that it isn’t that way. Otherwise, why would we ever even consider the idea of, “Be the change you want to see in the world?” The erosion of personal responsibility, the surrender of parenting to government, the dissolution of family — all are symptoms of ignoring the law of cause and effect.

In a world that becomes more secular by the minute, invested in the physical and not the spiritual, we accede the illusion of power to a handful of poseurs who have convinced us that they know the way, even though their directives contradict from one day to the next. They want us to believe that they know better than eons of natural law. They promise salvation and will dole it out only as long as we follow their rules.

Should we allow this medical mafia to extort our allegiance? Should we really rail against the forces of Nature? Should we really get in a fight with God?

Be well.
