The Omaha Police Department announced Friday the motorcade route for Master Sgt. Noah Tietjens as he is returned home.

Tietjens was one of six military members killed during an Iranian drone attack in Kuwait on March 1. His body will be escorted from Eppley Airfield to Forest Lawn Cemetery on Saturday. Tietjens was posthumously promoted to master sergeant from sergeant 1st class.

U.S. 2nd District Rep. Don Bacon said he plans to support the family at the airport if they will have him.

“Our heart still goes out with all those family members,” he said. “We have had 13 Americans killed thus far, and obviously this great soldier came out of Bellevue. His family lives amongst us, and our hearts are with them.”

The airport arrival is closed to the public. Omaha Police said people can show their support on the motorcade route while following parking regulations and other traffic laws.

The route starts at Lindberg Drive and Storz Expressway heading north. It will then go from Storz Expressway to Sorenson Parkway, then Sorenson Parkway to North 56th Street going north until it reaches the cemetery.

There will be a public visitation March 27 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home. The funeral service and burial will be private.
