An Omaha-based independent record label will host a music festival later this year to promote Nebraska musicians.
David Taylor co-founded Good Life Records and the Goodlife Podcast, which he co-hosts with Jason Spicoli, morning host of Sweet 98.5 FM.
Good Life Records will host a live music festival at Falconwood Park, just south of Bellevue, on Aug. 1.
A press release stated that through Good Life Records, Taylor has built a network of more than 30 local and regional bands, creating opportunities for independent artists to connect, collaborate and grow their audiences.
The event will feature more than 20 bands performing throughout the day and will showcase the depth of talent in the Omaha-area music scene.
Admission to the all-ages festival is $5 for the first 500 attendees and will include live music, food vendors, camping, prize giveaways and an Emo Night after-party. Gates will open at 10 a.m., with performances beginning at 11 a.m. The press release stated the event will take place rain or shine.
This festival provides an opportunity for residents of Omaha and surrounding communities to support local artists, discover new music and experience a full day of entertainment.
