Habitat for Humanity of Omaha is preparing to host its annual craft beer and food tasting event.
The 20th Annual Brew Haha will be held Friday, Sept. 11 at the Heartwood Preserve at Heartwood Park, 301 S. 145th St.
A press release stated that Brew Haha is Omaha’s signature craft beer and food tasting event and that ticket sales help local families achieve affordable homeownership. Proceeds support Habitat Omaha’s efforts to bring people together to build homes and community throughout the Omaha metro.
Last year was a record year for Brew Haha, and helped build or finance a record 100-plus homes, while also providing numerous home repairs and financial/home education across the area.
The event, which features 80 local breweries and eateries, will be from 5-8:30 p.m. and for the second year in a row will include a signature beer by B5 Brewing in Benson. All foods and beverages are unlimited samplings at the event.
General admission tickets for the event, which include unlimited beer and food tastings and a souvenir glass, cost $75. A VIP experience ticket is available for $150 and includes access to all general the admission vendors, high-end food, beer and wine.
In observance of Patriot Day and the National Day of Service and Remembrance, the event will also feature a large American flag and honor veterans and first responders. A local nonprofit, 50 Mile March, will be a special guest of Habitat Omaha at the event.
This year’s honorary chairs are Mayor John Ewing and his wife, Vivian Ewing, and the Neon Kings will provide musical entertainment.
