Wanda Jackson, a sprightly 74-years-old, is rightfully called the Queen of Rockabilly, scoring some of the first female-sung hits in early rock music. The Oklahoma-born Jackson shared the stage with Elvis Presley and begun to experience her own success in the early 1960s. Jackson straddled the line between rockabilly and country, often releasing singles that paired off songs of each style on one release. Songs like “Fujiyama Mama”, “Mean Mean Man” and “Tongue Tied” are some of the many songs that have become gold standards of the rockabilly genre. In 2011, Wanda Jackson’s resurgence as a performing artist culminated with the release of The Party Ain’t Over, producede by Jack White.
