- No City Council meeting: The Omaha City Council won’t meet again until June 29. Votes laid over from last week’s meeting will be voted on then.
- Ten-year anniversary of the JDAI: County Commissioner Chris Rodgers will give a proclamation Tuesday recognizing the anniversary of the Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative. The nationwide project, started by the Annie E. Casey Foundation in 1992 and brought to Douglas County in 2011, aims to decrease the number of youth detained and improve the juvenile justice system.
- American Rescue Plan update: The National Association of Counties will give a presentation Tuesday on the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Passed in March, ARPA gave $1.9 billion to state and local governments to help recover from the pandemic.
- Highway improvement plan: The Douglas County Board of Commissioners will vote on a six-year highway improvement plan during Tuesday’s meeting. Douglas County engineer Tom Doyle will present the project, which would last until 2027.
