Nebraska announced its first death in the Covid-19 pandemic on Friday.

The man in his 50’s had contact with an infected person out of state and was quarantined at his home since March 11, according to the Douglas County Health Department.

Nebraska currently has 85 positive cases, 46 of which are in Douglas County, according to Department of Health and Human Services. The state has tested 1,851 samples.
