Surreal Da MC has been a longtime fixture on the Omaha hip-hop scene and his annual 4-20 show has become a marquee showcase for a large portion of the local area’s rappers. Surreal and Noizewave made their mark in the early 2000s with a tongue-in-cheek take on rap that was heavily informed by rap-rock and pop-punk’s silly streak. This tenth annual show, which coincides yearly with Earth Day weekend, brings together big names in local hip hop like Skatterman and Jimmy Hooligan with a host of other worthy, but lesser known names.
