“Too Many Notes Played Way Too Loud” is emblazoned on the back of some of Walter Trout’s T-shirt merch. The guitar star is known and loved for his fiery, rockin’ blues licks. Trout’s impressive six-string fury was honed over many years spent as guitarist for John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers and Canned Heat before going solo. His new disc is his most purely blues recording. Blues for the Modern Daze (Mascot Label Group) debuted at #5 on the Billboard Blues Charts in May. A big player on the international festival circuit, the chance to see Trout in the intimate Zoo Bar should not be missed.
