July 20

Fear of Ghosts, REModeled

The Waiting Room

6212 Maple Street

9 P.M., $7

Friday (July 20th) I’m in love – with this concert. Created from members of three area bands, Fear of Ghosts (yes, like the song) will be performing a tribute to The Cure along with fellow cover band REModeled, who will be talking (or singing) about their passion for the recently disbanded R.E.M. The Cure have never played Omaha, and the last time R.E.M. visited was March 1989, so unless you are especially proud of your “9-9” and “In Between Days” keytar covers, this may be your best opportunity to see live the songs of two bands that exerted their will on the music of the late 20th century. It will be just like heaven.
