Karin Campbell, Joslyn’s newly-appointed Phil Willson Curator of Contemporary Art, has said, “Contemporary artists are responding to a moment that we’re all currently living in. Most of what they’re looking at are experiences we’ve shared.” Karin Campbell will provide a special look at Under Pressure: Contemporary Prints from the Collections of Jordon D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation. Closing January 6, 2013, the exhibit includes prints from the 1960’s up to the 21st century. Among the 39 featured artists are Radcliffe Bailey, John Baldessari, Jennifer Bartlett, Richard Estes, Brice Marden, Kerry James Marshall, Richard Serra, Kiki Smith, Fred Tomaselli, Kara Walker, and Terry Winters. Come early – cash bar opens at 5:00 pm; gallery discussion begins at 6:30 pm.
