A Valentine’s Day Evening Fit for the Gods!

On Valentine’s Day, you can enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and the ethereal love songs of harpist Kim Meyer at the Joslyn.

Meyer has been performing for 27 years and is the principal harpist of the Des Moines Symphony.

The evening’s menu includes crostini with feta cheese and kalamata olives, stuffed mushroom caps with crab meat, almond chicken, miniature desserts and more.

At 7:00, Joslyn tour guides will show guests through the museum’s newest exhibition, Poseidon and the Sea: Myth, Cult and Daily Life.

Amy Rummel, Communications Coordinator for the Joslyn, said the exhibit, “offers an intimate look at both the mysteries of the ancient world and the timeless beauty and wonder of the sea.”
