The newly re-branded Cheddars Scratch Kitchen is seeking your help in mixing up their menu. Home cooks are invited to submit side dish recipes from now until April 30th. The winning recipe will be featured for 6 weeks on Cheddar’s Omaha menu and its author will receive a $250 Cheddars gift card. Camp Creek Acres is taking orders for shares of their 2015 CSA. The pickup location for your share will be Great Harvest Bread Co on 156th and Dodge. The growers take an ‘organic approach’. This is code for “our food and practices are organic, but we aren’t paying to become certified so we can make organic eating less cost-prohibitive”. The natural minded farm offers full and half shares of their local, chemical free fare and is now accepting payment online. Parker’s Smokehouse will be hosting their much anticipated Omaha opening Thursday, March 26. The restaurant, which boasts a virtually all from scratch menu, is taking over the former McKenna’s Blues Booze and BBQ on 74th and Pacific which closed its doors last September. The new-to-us eatery is still seeking staff. Interested parties should apply in person on site.
