
Born and raised in Omaha, Phil Hawkins is a contemporary artist focusing on sculptural installation influenced by electronic, house, and bass music. With a degree in Graphic Design from Metropolitan Community College and Arts Management from Bellevue University, he has had exhibits at Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts and has had work commissioned from Joslyn Art Museum and has art consigned in the Joslyn Art Museum Gift Shop. Being an independent artist, Hawkins is the owner of Phil Hawkins Studio in Omaha. Through personal and emotional expression his art becomes a visual product. He prefers to work systematically during the process of creating and sees his art as a visual product of personal and emotional manifestation.
