Flying will be simple and abundant in the future. We will be able to ship items via drone, travel via jet pack, and journey to other planets via rocket. All this will be made possible through cheap, abundant fuel, drawn from the most surprising of sources: Dark matter, which comprises a majority of the matter in the universe but is currently a mystery.

Scientists will soon unlock that mystery, and it will provide energy in such abundance that the earth will soon give off the electromagnetic radiation of a star. We will be able to do things that were previously unthinkable due to the enormous energy cost, like encase an entire city in a dome and regulate its environment year-round, or have an entire city that flies in the clouds. Thanks to dark matter, the most outlandish predictions for our future from mid-20th century science fiction will soon come true.
