After eight years serving Omaha, the family-owned Five Spice has announced the restaurant’s impending closure. A year frought with loss, sudden closures due to the pandemic, the curfew, and weather closures culminated in the loss of the family’s patriarch earlier this year. His daughter and current Five Spice head Hannah Lu has made the decision to let go of the establishment that meant so much to her and her father, and to the Omahans who loved not just the flavors the family served, but the warmth. April 30th will be the final day of service for the restaurant at 2571 S 177th Plaza.
