Lock your doors, Jason Voorhees is coming to Omaha.

Or at least an actor who portrayed the famous film slasher is.

Actor and producer James Stokes, known for portraying Friday the 13th icon Jason Voorhees in “Voorhees: Night of the Beast,” is coming to Scary Acres Oct. 24-25.

Stokes will meet fans, sign autographs and pose for photos during the special weekend appearance at Omaha’s “home of horror,” a press release stated.

“Jason Voorhees is one of the most recognizable characters in scary-movie history,” the release said. “Bringing James Stokes to Scary Acres during the final countdown to Halloween gives horror fans a special opportunity to meet an actor who has stepped behind that legendary mask.”

For more than four decades, Jason Voorhees and his iconic hockey mask have been synonymous with one of the ultimate scary-movie franchises. Stokes brought the character to life in the independent fan film “Voorhees: Night of the Beast,” which pits the legendary slasher against another creature of folklore: Bigfoot.

Scary Acres is located at 17272 Giles Road in Omaha.

“There is no better place to meet horror fans than inside a haunted attraction during the final countdown to Halloween,” Stokes said in the release. “I’m excited to come to Omaha, meet the Scary Acres fans and give them a chance to come face-to-mask with Jason.”

Tickets to visit Scary Acres are $15 for Master’s Castle, $15 for House on the Hill and $12 for Haunted Woods. A $35 Super Combo includes all three attractions. Online ticket purchases are not available.
