Take a stroll at lovely Lauritzen Gardens this Sunday in celebration of the 10-year anniversary of its visitor and education center opening. Admission is just 10 cents per person, and this one-day deal also includes 10 percent off items in the Garden Gift Shop and $10 off memberships. At press time Lauritzen’s Event Coordinator Maureen Thomsen said, “The forecast is showing that Sunday’s weather will be a perfect fall day to spend in the garden. We still have many brightly colored mums, asters and other fall-interest plants in the garden as well as inside in our floral display hall. Our children’s garden — including a small-scaled corn maze — is a fun area for any families looking for an inexpensive outing.” Visitors can also check out the Fall Chrysanthemum Show and Valerie Light Anderson’s art exhibit, Colors.
