Haitian-born physician and UNMC Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Rubens J. Pamies will present a discussion on his new book Help and Hope for Haiti , which documents the firsthand accounts of several groups of volunteers from Omaha. The illustrated book paints an eyewitness view of the challenges faced by those trying to deliver urgent medical care to the people of Haiti. Dr. Pamies, along with several staff from UNMC, will talk about their experiences in Haiti, as well as sign copies of the book. Proceeds will benefit the Haitian Relief Fund.
