Her Flyaway Manner w/ Dim Light and Dead Wave

Brothers Lounge, 3812 Farnam St.

10 p.m., $5 at the door

Lincoln band Her Flyaway Manner will celebrate the release of their first album in a decade at Brothers Lounge. An Ethology of Me is the band’s follow-up to 2001’s A Rotation of Thoughts and Themes. The band, a trio consisting of guitarist/singer Brendan McGinn, drummer Boz Hicks and bassist Adam J 2000, recorded the album at Sleepyhouse Studios around the end of 2010 and the start of 2011. The band sprung from the post hardcore/indie rock scene in 1996, playing alongside acts like Cursive and Lullaby for the Working Class and eventually getting signed by iconic Lincoln record label Caulfield Records. All of the bands on the bill will have at least one member pulling double-duty during the evening. Hicks also drums in Dim Light, while Dead Wave features Dim Light’s Tom Barrett and Cooper Moon.
