Circle Theatre is still around, aiming to heat things up anew in David Mamet’s 1988 dark, comedic satire about the movie business. Described by the New York Times as “a dissection of America (with) sheer verbal adrenalin” you can expect salty, sizzling dialogue and  sparkling laughs. Damn right. Premise: two Hollywood production hustlers tussle over a book with dubious screen potential, complicated by a seemingly seducible secretary. Speaking of round shapes, heat and sizzle, Circle’s staging this zinger backed by the aroma of baking pizza. You needn’t commit to eating anything. But what’s served up could give you an appetite for more of Mamet’s saucy slices of life. And more from Circle. Natch.
