
Flight Metaphor New Record
Recently Flight Metaphor finished a successful Kickstarter campaign to help fund their latest self-titled record and is set to celebrate it at the Slowdown with Rock Paper Dynamite, Through the Stone, and Pelican Rodeo. The band made an appearance on the Worlds of Wayne Podcast, sharing some tunes from the record and stories about the process, being brothers in a band, cat allergies, Star Wars, and Dungeons and Dragons. Benson Songwriter’s Exchange

Each songwriter will perform three original songs based on the same three song topics. The chosen topics are “Camera Flash”, “Flannel Shirt” and “You Can’t Make Me Dance” You’ll get to experience how each songwriter takes the same word prompt but interprets it uniquely. Get your dose of your favorite 90’s jams while kicking back a few shots and PBRs. Featuring performances by FINO, Daniel Burns, Austin & Elle, Tony LaMar, Kurt Wagoner, Hector Anchondo, Virginia Tanous, Travis Sing, Doug Kabourek, Jeff Dworkin and Jay NeSmith. Fore1gn Body with Healer, and Jump the Tiger

Alternative rock at its finest will be presented at the Slowdown with Fore1gn Body and guests. This six-piece band features many Omaha music scenesters who cite their sound as a “Sonic meringue with a blend of ambient textures and bombast.” Click HERE for more info.
