Dirty Birds

The change in ownership of The Switch at Blackstone comes with bonus restaurants, the first of which takes flight this weekend. Dirty Birds will celebrate their Brick and Mortar grand opening on January 2nd. You may have sampled the secret recipe this summer during a Dirty Dandelion Popup. The menu is focused, but not without pleasant surprises.

I am personally excited about the grilled pimento cheese with jam, but your family meal is covered, too. Dirty Birds offers half, quartered, or whole chicken biscuit meals grab-and-goable. Follow them on Instagram @Dirty_Birds_Omaha for details, food pics, and specials.

Boost Crew

A few months ago, we mentioned a group and movement called Keep Local Alive. The group hosts regular “boost crew” initiatives, aiming to drive traffic to struggling restaurants. This week, the crew is targeting Jack and Mary’s at 655 N 114th st. Restaurants are given notice that they will be targeted, to accommodate the influx of traffic. Be sure to stop in and support, and visit www.move20savelocal.com to learn more.

More Than Three

Three Happiness
5103 Leavenworth

Happiness abounds as Three Happiness reopened their doors on December 26th. A condensed menu was introduced to accommodate the demand, which was significant. Many diners reported long waits, but without complaint. Considering how long Omaha had to wait for these doors to budge, a couple of hours is manageable. Welcome back!
