So Long to Summer

Hail Varsity Club and 4th Station will be hosting a Hawaiian themed pop-up event tonight only from 5pm-9pm. The all-ages event is free to attend, and will include live entertainment, tiki-inspired cocktails, and Hawiian street food prepared by Block 16’s Nick Joubert. Hail Varsity Club is located at 12744 Westport Parkway in La Vista, and patio seating will be limited, so get there early or reserve a table by heading to Hail Varsity Club

The Dog Days Are Not Over

Chicago Dog 42 has announced the opening of its third location. The new hot dog stand is opened at Liberty First Credit Union Arena. The concert and event center is located at 7300 Q street, and hosts live music, sporting events, trade shows, and other live performance events year round.

It’s Getting Chili

For some, it’s officially Pumpkin Spice season. For others, it’s finally chili out. Trucks and Taps will host their first annual Chili Cook-Off on September 25 from 10am to 2pm. Chili entries must be registered before 11am, and only one entry allowed per contestant. Whether you’ve got the recipe that will win, or you if you simply want to spend a day sampling delicious dishes and hitting up your favorite local food trucks, visit Trucks and Taps Patio at 5402 S 108th street.

Farm to Fork

We may have been leaning rather heavily on the local-sourcing, sustainable living, Farm to Fork movement a bit lately. Here is where we continue to do exactly that. Barreras Farm Market will be hosting their ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration this weekend at 14449 F street. This Saturday from 11am to 7pm, the Veteran-Family-owned Farm Markey will host live entertainment, discounts, and giveaways. Visit Barrera’s Event Page for more details.
