An event celebrating Omaha’s local food scene is returning this week.
Omaha Restaurant Week will be held Sept. 11-20, giving diners a chance to enjoy three-course meals at discounted prices with dinners priced at $20-$50 per person at some of the area’s best restaurants.
Funds from the event will benefit Food Bank for the Heartland. A press release stated that more than 50 restaurants plan to participate in Omaha Restaurant Week this year, including Dante, Cibo Vino, Ooh De Lally, Le Boullion, Gather in Omaha, Pitch Pizzeria and more.
“Now in its ninth year, Omaha Restaurant Week has served as a celebration of culinary arts in Omaha from our talented local chefs to incredible restaurants ranging from casual to fine dining,” Jasmyn Goodwin, executive director of Visit Omaha, said in the release. “September is Hunger Action month, and what better way to support our community than to dine out for a cause.”
A total of 5% of the proceeds will support Food Bank for the Heartland. In 2025, nearly $18,000 was donated to the Food Bank. The food bank works with more than 500 network partners in 93 counties across Nebraska and western Iowa.
“The need is the highest we’ve seen in our history,” acting food bank president and CEO Tresha Rodgers said in the release. “We are grateful for the support from our local culinary community during Omaha Restaurant Week so we can continue to support the 1 in 7 individuals and the 1 in 5 children facing hunger across the Heartland.”
Diners wanting to participate can stop by the Visit Omaha booth at the Omaha Farmers Market in the Old Market Sept. 12 to sign up for an Omaha Restaurant Week pass, spin a prize wheel and browse menus from participating restaurants.
Participating restaurants, full menus, maps, a free digital pass and a diner style quiz can be found online.
