Omaha Fire Department officials suspect arson in two of the city’s three fires this week. Investigators determined a Dec. 8 fire at 17th and Fowler was intentional after finding an empty can of gas near the home. No one was injured in the fire. And officials say they have identified suspects in a Dec. 6 fire that burned an empty house at 28th and Manderson. An investigation is ongoing on a third fire on Dec. 7 that damaged 24 units at the Alpine Village Apartments near 84th and Harrison in La Vista.
