Corporate Steakhouse Wars
Corporate steakhouses have been relatively quiet until recently when Longhorn Steakhouse announced plans to double its unit count over the next few years. Days later, Outback Steakhouse gave away one million steak dinners as a marketing campaign. Longhorn Steakhouse lists only one metro location on its website, but has two more locations under construction in Omaha. The old Lone Star Steakhouse location at 3040 South 143rd Plaza and the old Indigo Joe’s space at 7425 Dodge Street will be home to the next Longhorn Steakhouse locations.
