NYCG is Now Block 16
In our article covering the 5th Annual Comfort Food Classic, co-owners Jessica Joyce and Paul Urban announced an upcoming name change to their restaurant. Here at Dish Omaha we call it delicious, but officially, New York Chicken & Gyro’s is now Block 16. “The name Block 16 is a play off our location (16th and Farnam) as well as a nod to the butcher block, a foundation for food & creativity,” said Jessica Joyce. If you haven’t been to Block 16 here is a little bit about them. Block 16 is happy to provide gourmet chocolate treats from Katie @thechocolatesbar. The group uses only Plum Creek Farms free range organic chickens and GREENWARE take-out materials and food containers. Local artist and chefs Tim Maides and Michael Rhoades provide the artwork at Block 16.
Local Sushi Restaurant Expands to Colorado
Blue Sushi announced this week that they will be opening this summer in Denver! The restaurant will be located at 16th and Wazee streets in the historic LoDo area of Denver. Oddly enough, the group is also looking for a general manager at that location. Visit bluesushisakegrill.com for more information.

Parliament Pub Midtown Moves to Old Market
Look for Midtown Crossing to bring an exciting new tenant to one of the development’s prime locations in 2012. This, as Parliament Pub relocates to Omaha’s Old Market, a move intended to
capitalize on the district’s active bar scene. An English themed pub with a rock-n-roll edge, Parliament Pub is expected to open its Old Market location (1212 Harney St.) in the spring of 2012. Parliament Pub will close in Midtown Crossing on January 1, 2012. Its west Omaha location is unaffected.
