* Icky Blossoms provided the first real taste of their upcoming Saddle Creek Records debut, thanks to their new video for “Babes”. The video premiered on disconaivete.com. It black-and-white clip opens with the band’s principal players, Sarah Bohling, Nik Fackler and Derek Pressnall walking down a side street near South 26th Street and St. Mary’s Avenue. Color comes from flashes of the words “girls”, “women” and “babes” throughout the video. The clip switches between performance shots and bits of various IB friends dancing and singing along to the sultry, smoking indie-dance track. Make a special note of wardrobe, compiled by Mark Andrew Steffan and Nicholas Marsoulnier Wasserberger, who both also appear in the video.
* If that doesn’t satisfy your music video craving, check out the new stop-motion video from regular Omaha visitors, White Mystery.
