Camille DeVore
Singer and songstress Camille DeVore comes from a musical family. Both her parents were singers and music teachers, with her mom leading her own vocal group for many years. DeVore said she wrote her first song when she was 5; an alternative melody to “Away in a Manger.”
She said her influences run from singers Sarah Vaughan and Dianne Reeves to instrumentalists/writers Herbie Hancock and Miles Davis.
Thursday’s performance will include jazz standards, classic pop and some original songs. Local favorites, guitarist Ron Cooley and drummer Joey Gulizia accompany DeVore.
“I like being in my hometown. I get to come back and connect with friends through music,” said DeVore.
