Wednesday, June 10

Neo Soul Night with Reggae Clark

7:30 p.m.

A relaxing Wednesday night Reggie Clark, who will be playing neo soul music (which fuses classic soul with reggae, R&B, pop and hip-hop). The venue promises “sensual vibes, candles & Victorian furniture.”

Thursday, June 11

The Omaha Jitterbugs present a jazz dance party with Sugar Foot Stomp

Traditional jazz and swing music, dancing, and cocktails with the Omaha Jitterbugs, happy to provide information and instill a love for traditional jazz in anyone.

Friday, June 12

Juneteenth’s Bud Crawford mural fundraiser

9 p.m., $5 donation recommended

Omaha native Bud Crawford will be in town helping with a fundraiser to create a North Omaha mural in his honor in conjunction with Omaha Native Days. Crawford, the undefeated light welterweight world boxing champion, will be there to sign autographs, take pictures and hang out at the club. There will also be funk, hip-hop and soul music played, courtesy of DJ Foxy Troxy.

Saturday, June 13

Debut of Summer Saturday Sessions with DJ Travis Howe

10 p.m., $5

21+

This Saturday marks the beginning of a DJ Travis Howe’s three month residency at the House of Loom. The Djing will be open-format, anything goes fun. Get there between 10 and 11 p.m. for free food on the patio or stick around for popsicle cocktails.

Sunday, June 14

Salsa Sundays

Classes 7-8 p.m., open dancing 8 p.m. to midnight

The House of Loom has dedicated its Sundays (and hardwood floors) to a salsa, buchata, merengue, cha-cha-cha, pachanga and guaguanco dance party. Don’t have a partner? Just want to watch? They can find you a partner or serve you a fresh mojito to enjoy while you spectate. Salsa lessons and training will also be offered, supervised by the world-class choreographer and salsa dancer Blandon “Salserodalante” Joiner.

Monday, June 15

First Cut Industry Night

9 p.m.

Long, hard Monday? Come relax at the House of Loom, featuring cheap drinks like $2 Honey Brown Ale pints, $3 premium vodka & gin wells. Plus, they have board games!

Tuesday, June 16

Karaoke Theater

9 p.m., no cover

Karaoke Theater is more than just singing. Every Tuesday night, House of Loom welcomes local actor Sara O’Neill to host singing, dancing, choreography and drink specials for theater members. Got a costume for your performance? Choreograph a dance? Have a whole host of backup singers? Karaoke Theater is an experience for everyone to enjoy, whether they are watching or performing.

Wednesday, June 17

So maybe we lied. This is the one night the entire month that there isn’t something fun scheduled at House of Loom. That doesn’t mean you can’t come in to drink and visit, though!

Thursday, June 18

Verbal Gumbo Juneteenth Celebration Edition

7 p.m., $7

Every third Thursday, fans of spoken word can turn out to watch or participate in the ranting and raving, hosted by

Felicia Webster and Michelle Troxclair. The topics can range from dark to sexual to hilariously funny to tragic and the emotion runs deep. Expect around 15 performers (one of which you could be!) and lots of “amen” and “yes, honey!”s throughout the night. No matter what you do, expect a spicy melting pot of cultures and experiences.

Friday, June 19

Loom + Flixx’s White Attire and Gay Pride Party

Free before 10 p.m., $5 after 10 p.m.

Don’t come to this bash expecting to stay clean and not be dancing. Wear white and expect body paint, patio BBQ, tons of balloons, CO2 spray and confetti. House of Loom resident DJs Brent Crampton & Kethro will be playing all night long, along with a performance by Omaha drag celebrity Karma Lilola.

Saturday, June 20

Revel Post-Pride Party

10 p.m., $5

21+

Continuing the PRIDE week festivities, the House of Loom will be working with REVEL to make a safe, fun night for all the ladies who love ladies, as well as the LGBT supporters and allies who love the lady-lovers.
