May 29-June 5 The Wall That Heals Memorial Park, 60th and Dodge vvmf.org Omaha will have the unique opportunity to savor the pride of our country this Memorial Day Weekend by welcoming The Wall That Heals to Memorial Park. The Wall That Heals, a half-scaled traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C., will bring their message of healing and education to Omaha May 29-June 5. The wall will be a part of the annual Memorial Day ceremony on May 30 at 11 a.m., conducted by the Vietnam Veterans of America and the Heroes of Heartland Foundation. The Wall That Heals also features a traveling museum and information center to inform and educate individuals about the war’s history. Visitors will get the chance to participate in the National Call for Photos launched by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund to collect a photo for each person whose name is on The Wall. Since its beginning, The Wall That Heals has visited more than 300 cities and towns throughout the nation.
